How to Root Galaxy Note 2 on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XXDME1 Firmware with CF-Auto-Root

1. On your computer download and install Samsung KIES; flash the Note 2 drivers. If the drivers are already installed on your PC, you can skip this step.
2. From here download the root package.
3. Then, download and install Odin.
4. On your computer open Odin.
5. Turn off your phablet and reboot it into download mode: press and hold Volume Down, Power and Home buttons at the same time.
6. Connect your handset with the computer.
7. Once you do that on Odin you should notice that the “added” message is displayed and that the ID:COM section is either yellow or blue; if not re-install the drivers first and then retry.
8. From Odin now select “PDA” and pick the root file you have just downloaded before.
9. Don’t make any other changes just click on “start”.
10. When done, on Odin you will see the “pass” message displayed.
11. You can then unplug the USB cord and reboot your device.

Troubleshooting

• Odin gets stuck

1. You have to close Odin.
2. Disconnect the handset from the computer.
